AquaBEHERweb provides access to maps and tools for exploring wet-season calendars, water-balance indicators and seasonal outlooks. The products are experimental prototypes intended for research, education, evaluation and feedback.

These terms concern this web interface. Separate software licences, dataset terms and external-service conditions continue to apply. Sant’Anna’s legal notice is linked as an institutional reference; it does not automatically govern independently hosted copies.

Outputs are modelled or processed estimates, not guaranteed site-specific observations or operational advice. Coverage, resolution, time period, input quality, thresholds and reference climatology affect their meaning. Forecast probability is not certainty.

Check units, date encoding, missing values and the selected Value/Anomaly mode. Compare results with local observations and suitable expertise. Do not use the prototypes as the sole basis for agricultural, water-management, emergency or policy decisions.

The repository’s web-application code is distributed under the MIT licence. Its permissions and conditions apply to that software; they do not automatically cover every dataset, map image, photograph, logo or third-party component.

Check the licence and metadata for each downloaded product before redistribution or commercial reuse. If no reuse licence is supplied, request clarification. Preserve required copyright notices, acknowledgements and provider attribution. Institutional and funder marks must not be used to imply endorsement.

Check the licence, documentation, format and system requirements of each download. Intellectual-property rights remain with their owners. Obtain permission where required; material released under an open licence remains subject to that licence.

Downloads are supplied for research and evaluation. Compatibility with your systems, uninterrupted availability and fitness for a particular purpose are not guaranteed. Validate results and retain their metadata. These terms do not exclude responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Acknowledge AquaBEHERweb when using the platform in research, teaching or reports. Use the citation on the About page and separately acknowledge underlying datasets, models and methods.

Keep the product and layer name, selected date or period, units, geographic context, software/product version or commit, and access date with your analysis. Label any modifications you make. A share link alone does not preserve a dataset version.

• Use the interface and downloads without disrupting the service or bypassing access controls and service limits.
• Do not upload or publish confidential information, personal identifiers or sensitive coordinates without appropriate authority.
• Do not misrepresent uncertainty, provenance, authorship or prototype outputs as validated operational advice.
• For large or automated data retrieval, contact the team to agree an appropriate access method.
• Use published contact details for relevant research, teaching or platform enquiries. Do not harvest them for unsolicited marketing, commercial solicitation or spam.

The prototype and its external dependencies may be updated, corrected, interrupted or withdrawn. Continuous access, preservation of a particular endpoint and suitability for a specific purpose are not guaranteed.

External links and embedded applications are provided for convenience and have their own terms and privacy practices. Their inclusion does not imply endorsement. Report faults or suspected errors to help improve the platform.

These notices may be revised as the prototype develops. The update date identifies the current text; it does not change the licence attached to a separately downloaded release.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights, duties or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Questions about permissions, interpretation or applicable institutional policies should be directed to the project team.
